Over the next few months we are developing our website to look at all things health in our LGB&T community.
We won't be forgetting our SHAG Team and their wonderful work in pubs and clubs but we will be developing local resources and highlighting the health needs of all our community for example Lesbian and Bisexual women living and working in Derbyshire.
We won't be forgetting HIV and AIDS and how it affects many in our community and we will still be addressing the sexual health needs of the community but the new website wants to be -
Modern to reflect today and tomorrows needs
Fresh and light,
Local but still looks at things national
Derby but also Derbyshire! - We don't want it to be about Derby but local to you!
The website will look for example at -
Positive Mental Health and Wellbeing
How to quit Smoking
Drugs and alcohol
Domestic Violence
The specific health needs of Lesbian and bisexual women
The treatment and health needs of Trans people
Where and how to to complain
Good practice and where to go
We will interview a person from health who can make a difference and put them on the spot 'hopefully in a nice way'
It will have an 'agony' section not to give you pain but to answer any of your queries, confidentially and relevant to you
Sections on sexual health, HIV and STI's
But we also need your help, so tell us what you want to see.
Why not write us a feature or article? Tell us about the things you want to see? What services should we advertise?
So email us at info@gayderbyshire.co.uk or pick up a phone (01332) 207704.
